College.

Tue Aug 28, 2007, 6:29 PM
So, I'm at college (Grand Valley State University) now, and the workload's much more intense than I expected it to be (and I expected a lot). So, expect even less art than normal, and, to the five or so people that ever talk to me on AIM, I won't be online nearly as often as usual.

Other than the insane amounts of art homework, college has been pretty cool I guess. I live with ~PixleRelish and, aside from a few arguments such as an absurdly long spat over what kind of apples to buy, it's been good so far. I haven't made any new friends yet, but there's still plenty of time for that.

That's pretty much all that's new with me. I did pretty much nothing this summer.

Yeah, I imagine that college art classes would pile the work load high, but at least you're doing something you can enjoy right?

I remember coming to my college and taking some music classes and basically going through the same sort of thing. The amount of work I had to do was quite disproportional to the amount of time I spent in class.

Ohh it's not your fault. It's not your mother's fault. Now...you pay attention to old Rooter. It is nobody's fault. The Great Circle of Life has begun. But you see, not all of us arrive together at the end.

I love university. Yeah, it has an insane workload, but you eventually figure out just how much you can procrastinate and still get everything done in a spectacular manner. =D

I certainly hope your workload isn't greater than my own! I have five classes and a conference to help organize, plus grad school applications and whatnot, including one of those SAT-type tests. That's going to be a walk in the park compared to my spring semester. If your workload does happen to be more than that - good god, best of luck with that!!

Enjoy your first year of higher education! It should be a lot of fun!

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

The life of college... I never got a chance to live on campus, so I honestly don't know what it's like living in a dorm. As for classes, best of luck with that. I know when I was taking my computer illustration class, it seemed like we were doing a major project every week. It was fun, but I'm glad that it's over. I wish you the best of luck with your studies and hope everything goes a-okay. :)

Whahahah I was just looking through my neighboring deviants and O.o HEY! I know that avatar... I know that school!! Awesome. So welcome to the best of the two Valleys. Is this your first year here?? You'll have to come visit the geek table in lower commons and get much praise for your artly goodness sometime. ;)

Yep, it's my first year here, but I've lived within ten miles of here my entire life. And yeah, I heard someone talking about the geek table in one of my classes and have been meaning to go over there. =P I'll check it out next time I eat at Fresh.
:iconsugarpeep:
You'll know the one >.> It will be covered in gaming cards and art. Maybe a pizza box or two. And it will be the loudest table there >.< Hhahaha
